New book coming out soon

Watch this space!

The artwork, research, feedback from many people, and the many and varied experiences from the past decade of exploration into the subjects of loss and sorrow are to be consolidated into a new book, coming out soon.

One of the most striking aspects of the Routes of Sorrow Project is its intention to attract attention and spark conversations, rather than focusing on selling artwork. This subtle yet significant distinction allows the project to serve as a catalyst for dialogue and reflection, inviting viewers to engage deeply with the themes of loss and sorrow.

For those involved in the caring professions, such as therapists, counsellors, or social workers, the Routes of Sorrow Project offers a valuable resource for understanding and addressing the complex emotions that accompany experiences of loss. By engaging with the art and narratives presented in the project, caregivers can gain insights into the diverse ways in which individuals navigate grief and sorrow, ultimately enhancing their ability to provide compassionate and effective support. Similarly, for artists and academics, the Routes of Sorrow Project provides a rich tapestry of inspiration and exploration. Through the diverse array of artistic expressions within the project, creatives can find new avenues for self-expression and storytelling, while academics can uncover valuable insights into the intersection of art, emotions, and healing. Ultimately, the Routes of Sorrow Project stands as a testament to the power of art to illuminate the darkest corners of the human experience. By embarking on this journey of exploration and reflection, participants and viewers alike can find solace, inspiration, and a renewed sense of connection to the universality of loss and sorrow.

The Outsider by Pam Foley©

I am always interested in what thoughts you may have about my work.

I am particularly interested to hear from others who have a brother or sister with one or more disabilities, as I do. Let's connect.
